TMC Technologies is in search of a Mid-level Oracle Developer/Programmer and Database Administrator to support a federal client in Beltsville, MD. The candidate must be a US citizen and possess the ability to obtain an interim Secret security clearance to start, and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance due to federal contract requirements. This role supports the Operational Threat & Analysis – Direct Support (OTADS) Team. The Oracle Database Administrator will:

- Be responsible for the development and administration of various Oracle based applications and systems. This “hands-on” position requires solid technical and analytical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be able to contribute to a wide variety of data centric requirements.
- Be a self-starter who enjoys problem solving as well as researching techniques and methodologies to produce effective, complete and reliable solutions.
- Ability to collaborate and work with teams and can be counted on to complete assignments in a timely manner with minimal oversight. Must be able to multi-task and manage deadlines, work independently, effectively, and efficiently.
- Develop and maintain Oracle databases in support of new and existing applications.
- Maintain Oracle Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers and Views.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and remediate data integrity issues.
- Monitor systems; proactively manage and maintain configurations to ensure performance and availability.
- Perform database and related asset backups and recovery.
- Oracle query optimization; index management.
- System performance and optimization tuning.
- Support production systems for database problem resolution, recovery and potential Emergency off-hour support.

- Bachelor’s Degree and at least 9 years’ experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain an interim Secret security clearance before start date with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Must possess one of the following certifications or be able to obtain before start date: CASP CE, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CHFI, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), Cloud , CND, CySA , GCED, GCIH, GICSP, SSCP
- Oracle OCP certification is highly desired.
- Experience implementing, maintaining, and automating backup and recovery plans.
- Experience in database design, development, implementation, and methodologies.
- Extensive experience with SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, Triggers and Functions.
- Experience with Oracle Export/Import data pump.
- Knowledge in examining and optimizing query execution plans and index/data usage.
- Knowledge analyzing hardware, software, and network ecosystems to optimize database server performance.
- Experience resolving locking and dead lock issues.
