Job Summary:

Operate track hoe effectively to complete assigned job tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Minor maintenance and care of equipment
• Prepare daily time-card for project with multiple tasks, machines, employees, including itemizing for proper billing
• Identify hazards associated with task assignments and ask questions when clarification is needed
• Maintain cleans and safe work areas (sweep debris; gather and discard trash, remove snow and ice)
• Direct laborers and other employees to complete job within specified time limit
• Understand OHSA guidelines and procedures, as well as lock out / tag out procedures
• Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to immediate supervisor and safety
• Manual Labor on occasion (grading, raking, shoveling, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Must have at least two years of related experience operating a trackhoe
• Must pass a pre-employment Drug Screen
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License
• Must be at least 18 Years Old
• DOT Medical Card

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

This job requires physical activities such as climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and moving objects weighing between 50-100 pounds, as well as crouching, kneeling, and handling objects. It may involve the use of heavy machinery and repetitive motions. The worker should have visual acuity and may work in outside environmental conditions and experience extreme temperatures and noise levels. Hazards include proximity to moving parts, vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding, and exposure to high heat or chemicals.

When the job entails operating a motor vehicle, the worker must perform certain tasks to ensure its proper functioning. These include inspecting, fueling, and performing minor maintenance on the vehicle. The worker must also always follow traffic laws and guidelines. Furthermore, the job may require driving for several hours without any breaks.
