The C.N.A maintains resident/patient privacy and confidentiality and performs duties in compliance with BNRC s, A Member of Covenant Health, policies and procedures.Education Requirements Must hold an active Maine C.N.A License Other Skill Required Assists with all resident/patient routine activities of daily living including: Feeding Bathing Ambulating Skin Care Demonstrates effective listening skills to provide support for resident/patient needs Ability to take initial vital signs and provide weights to nursing staff in a timely manner Responsible for reporting changes in vital signs or measurements promptly to the Supervisor/Charge Nurse Always follows procedures for Universal Precautions Monitors and promptly records resident/patient intake and output in accordance with unit standards or physician orders Maintains confidentiality of resident/patient related issues; supports resident/patient rights Maintains productive working relationship with healthcare team members Is a team player, courteous, diplomatic and tactful when interacting with others. Provides additional care as directed by the RN/LPN Assist with orientation of patient/resident/family to unit, facility and services. Can deliver patient/resident care promptly and accurately as directed by the RN/LPN and in accordance with plan of care Ability to empathize with residents, patients and families.
