Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Coordinator to join our team. The Quality Coordinator supports and promotes plant wide quality improvement efforts. Lead and maintain PPAP Process and supporting functions. Evaluate and develop improvement techniques for quality and reliability based on dimensional and statistical information. Maintain and report on the quality management systems using Process Audits (Layered, Company, Customer required, Control plan audits). Works with employees, suppliers, and customers to produce quality products that meet or exceed the customer and plant's requirements. Coordinates Corrective Action and Continuous Quality Improvement and provides feedback to management and customers.

Duties:

• Follow the guidelines within the Customer Specific Requirements, ensuring testing requirements and systems are in place to meet them.
• Work with suppliers to ensure testing requirements are being met and verify supplier PPAP submissions.
• Ensure production is producing quality product to specifications.
• Provide support onsite to customer/suppliers as needed.
• Support prototype builds (document according to prototype checklist inspection process).
• Collect SPC data, review, and report monthly, and work with manufacturing on process improvements.
• Generate layout reports based on collected data (Data Page)
• Support Quality department with annual fixture and gage layouts, gage calibrations.
• Support with completion of capability studies, Gage R, Gage R&R and other dimensional or statistical studies as required.
• Support manufacturing in the development of job instructions and procedures.
• Maintain and update the layered Process Audit website and perform LPA’s as assigned
• Assist in the handling of Customer issues including containment activities, root cause analysis, corrective action development and implementation, and submitting responses to the Customer in compliance to the Customer Specific Requirements.
• Participate in the APQP process.
• Responsible for submission of all PPAP documentation to Customers in Customer Specific formats utilizing AIAG core tools.
• Provide support and maintain compliance with all company guidelines, union contracts, International Quality Standards (i.e., ISO, IATF, etc.) and all applicable government regulations and standards.
• Define and implement “Customer’s indicators” to monitor the satisfaction level of the customer and reporting back to management.
• Supports decisions regarding disposition of non-conforming material and ensures that proper containment and follow up is done.
• Perform additional assignments per manager’s direction.

Requirements:

• The Quality Coordinator must have at least three (3) years of related proven experience in the following areas:
• Capable of understanding CMM reports, report generation, analysis, and presentation.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T abilities.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of AIAG Core tools (PPAP, MSA, SPC, APQP, PFMEA)
• Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and good judgement / analytical skills, combined with strong leadership skills.
• Able communicate professionally, verbally and in writing with team members and customers.
• The ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of CMM programming (PC-DMIS)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
