Job Summary:
The primary function of this position is to follow standard specification and schedule to maintain molds and changeout of molds in presses. Maintain and service mold bladders. Know, practice, and be in compliance with all safety rules and procedures. Maintain communication and team work to produce a product of the highest quality by the most effective process.

Duties:
- Remove Molds from press to be changed and/or cleaned and transport to mold cleaning unit or mold elevator as directed.

- Obtain clean mold replacement mold and install in press.

-Change glue in serial numbers in accordance with specifications.

- Change post inflator rings, spacers and gaskets as necessary to make mold changes.

- Make as necessary to insure proper curing of tires.

- Record the number of heats and tire item number on the scrap bladder.

- Fill in required information on bladder change record form.

- Groove bladders as specified or directed.

- Place new bladders in storage after they have been approved by Quality Control.

- Assist Curemen on start up and shutdowns.

- Maintain and operate transport equipment.

- Maintain quality assurance reports and checks.

- Coordinate activities and safety to maintain a continuous production operation.

- Report all required operation records and charts.

- Must maintain the upkeep of all equipment and make adjustments necessary to maintain product flow.

- Report or correct immediately all equipment malfunctions, unsafe equipment and acts, material/product deviations to supervisor.

- Keep a clean and safe work area throughout shift.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

High School diploma and/or general education (GED); and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that performs the essential functions of this position. Must be able to read and interpret standard specifications to maintain molds and changeovers of molds in presses.

Pay: $17.08 per hour
