Titan International Security Services is Hiring an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Coordinator Near Beach, FL

Our company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Coordinator to join our team that will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical services department, training, providers, and facilitating the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. The EMS Coordinator reports to the CEO, CFO, DO and MD reporting on budget and programs, interacts with other public safety departments, emergency management units and represents the service on local, county, and other public committees. The coordinator must ensure that their service meets county and state standards. They monitor and account expenditures and identify budget priorities. The coordinator keeps records, conducts program evaluations, and generates activity reports as required. The coordinator procures equipment and supplies. Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

Must be a Florida Department of Health certified EMT-P (Paramedic)

Licenses & Certifications Requirements:

  • STATE LICENSED PARAMEDIC
  • AHA ACLS Program
  • AHA BLS CPR & AED Program
  • 16-hour EVOC Certificate
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Able to proficiently speak, read, understand and write English.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Set the direction, tone, and client-specific plan for achieving agreed upon service levels and meeting actionable expectations for delivering measurable results.
  • Interviews and makes recommendation regarding the hiring of new paramedics.
  • Checks credentials, assigns, and supervises personnel, conducts evaluations, recommends and assist managing disciplinary procedures.
  • Scheduling and shift coverage is the sole responsibility of coordinator up to and including self-coverage of any such open shift(s).
  • Organize and supervise training and updated mandatory training.
  • Serves as security officer/ paramedic on daily shift operations.
  • Responds to emergency calls and security calls as needed.
  • Determines the nature and extent of illness and injury.
  • Establishes priorities to determine procedures to be followed for emergency first aid or assistance; Request additional help, including special rescue and utility services.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day team effort of Security Director(s) and other assigned personnel to ensure that services are delivered in a quality and cost-effective manner.
  • Provides emergency care and other treatment pursuant to EMT certification.
  • Reports all medical incidents, accidents, or emergencies to include completing a Daily Activity Log on every shift, describing all activities; Complete an Incident Report documenting any medical response calls on client property.
  • Work with assigned personnel to ensure that all contractually scheduled hours are met with a minimum overtime.
  • Coach, counsel, and develop assigned personnel to assist with their performance and knowledge.
  • Maintains all assigned equipment and inventory supplies.
  • Ensures all medical equipment, vehicles are serviceable and up to date.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enforce Titan’s policies as outlined by the handbooks and executive memos.
  • Work with all levels in the organization to identify, analyze and solve problems and create opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Medicine management for the controlled drug register, storage, and accountability of medical equipment.
  • Generate and maintain accurate confidential patient reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information and data entered into ESO.
  • Keep records and prepare accurate and timely reports both manually and through automated methods.
  • Works with the Medical Director to develop and implement continuous quality improvement programs by reviewing and analyzing EMS effectiveness, system trends and needs to ensure EMS system excellence.
  • Performs case reviews and complaint investigation.
  • Compiles, maintains, reviews, and submits all licensing requirements with all State and County Management.
  • Investigate complaints and/or signs of poor performance, document facts, and act deemed appropriate in conjunction with the Medical Director.
  • Collects, manages, and analyzes data to support continuous quality improvement (CQI) program for EMS and related clinical initiatives.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from $50,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year.
