Responsibilities

• Administration of VMware virtual machines, Windows Servers, Active Directory, and some Linux servers
• Setup solution for POC or actual production use
• Regularly review and update documentation with system upgrade
• Support equipment roll in and system setup
• Attend to any problem or issues that affect system availability
• Install, test, upgrade, configure, and perform performance tuning for VMWare solutions
• Provide troubleshoot, maint, monitor resource utilization, and ensuring appropriate capacity plans are in place and utilized
• Monitor system and application performance to detect errors
• Oversee the implementation and documentation of new solutions in collaboration with the Integration team
• System software upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination
• Regularly reviews and updates documentation on processes

Qualifications

• Must have VMware data center virtualization
• Must have experience installing, configuring, securing, remote managing, and monitoring VMware ESXi clusters in multiple data centers
• Must have experience monitoring, deploying, and configuring VM guests utilizing vCenter and VMware vRO/vRA
• Experience with Windows or Linux Server administration experience
• Must have a high level of attention to detail
• Proven experience as a customer service representative 
• VMware data center virtualization experience required
• Must have a high degree of resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
• Windows or Linux Server administration experience
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Must have experience monitoring and managing tickets in ServiceNow que, prioritizing work based on time-sensitivity of requests
• Must have experience with VMware admin responsibilities include installing, configuring, securing, remote managing, and monitoring VMware esxi clusters in multiple va data centers
• Must have experience administers, monitors, deploys, and configures vm guests utilizing Vcenter and vrop/vra. document and complete all changes in accordance with change management policies and procedures
• Experience in root cause analysis of major incidents. customer service mindset, time management, project management, problem-solving, and team collaboration
• vSphere 8.x or higher experience preferred

Education: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or related scientific /technical discipline and 5 years’ work experience
• Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (13 years total)

Clearance: 

• The ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation
