TISTA Science and Technology is seeking a Technical Writer to join our growing team. The Technical Writer shall be the primary contact that is accountable for contract deliverables and documentation and shall coordinate with the staff assigned the responsibility for completing contract deliverables and their timely delivery.

The Technical Writer shall support the Contract Project Manager, other Contractor Key Personnel, Team Leads and other staff responsible with the coordination, preparation and delivery to client of Contract Deliverables as required by the SOW, the XLC and ad-hoc requests as agreed upon between the contractor and the client.

Documents designated by the Project Manager shall be uploaded to the project documentation repository and versioning maintained.
• Tracking, monitoring and updating required documentation.
• Coordinate and adjudicate all comments and feedback resulting from document reviews
• Maintain traceability of all review comments and document disposition of reviewer comments
• Maintaining project templates for deliverables and reporting. Track updates for client required templates and update accordingly.
• Ensure the deliverables are of a high quality, that they adhere to standards and guidelines, and are written in the appropriate style and tone for product and audience
• Support client meetings and engagements, the Technical Writer shall be accountable for the coordination, preparation and delivery of the necessary meeting articles (Agenda Meeting minutes, Action Items, Presentations, )
• Ensure all documentation is 508 compliant

• 1-3 years of professional experience in field of technical writing
• Advanced English skills (degree or related certification) in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Engineering, Journalism, Technical Communication or related discipline.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Proficient in Microsoft Visio, Microsoft SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat
• The ability to work to tight deadlines, to deliver on time, and to ensure high quality
• Experience using 508 documentation compliancy tools is desired
• Experience working on a an IT project of 60 people is desired
• Proficient in CMS approved Enterprise support software such as Confluence, Jira, Slack is desired

Pay Range:

• The pay for this position ranges from $45,765 to $74,750.
• The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
