Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Controller to join our team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including financial planning and analysis, budget management, and financial reporting.

Position Responsibilities:

● Oversee financial objectives and policies for the company.

● Recommends and implements needed improvements to maximize efficiencies of financial processes and overall health of the business.

● Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

● Lead the preparation and review of monthly financial reporting, including weekly forecasting and monthly management reporting.

● Perform analytical reviews and P L analysis to provide meaningful insights on operating performance.

● Ensure franchisee accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.

● Ensure all franchisee accounting and financial activities are following all company policies and procedures.

● Development, monitoring, and analysis of budgets and processes.

● Conduct monthly financial analysis by franchise to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

● Collaborate regularly and provide regular insights, guidance, and recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic decision making and short/long term goals.

● Develop and implement internal control procedures and ensure financial effectiveness.

● Identify and mitigate financial risks for the company through ongoing analysis and proactive measures.

● Manage quarterly forecasts and annual budgeting process.

● Oversee ad hoc requests for financial information and analysis as needed.

Position Requirements:

● Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field

● Proven experience as a Controller or similar financial leadership role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

● Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey financial information and recommendations on a regular basis.

● The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

● Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.

● Detail oriented and ability to work well independently.

● Tenacity and self-motivation: high energy level, self-starter with positive attitude

● Experience with and/or understanding of franchise modeled businesses.

● Upholds company brand mission, vision, and values through actions.

● Advanced in Excel and financial/accounting software.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong financial acumen to excel in a key leadership role within our organization. This part time or contract position can lead to a full time position within a short period of time.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $2,500.00 per month

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
