What we're looking for:
As Senior Product Designer at Daivergent, you will be responsible for delivering the best online user experience, which makes your role extremely important for our success and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. You must be comfortable in a fast-paced, agile environment and be able to wear both strategy and execution hats.
We are looking for someone who has experience with creating designs for web and mobile applications with a focus on accessibility, working closely with a dev team to get those designs live, working with other parts of the org to plan future products, and conducting research and testing to optimize our UX/UI. Bonus points if you have a personal or professional connection to disability, or have a deep interest to learn everything you can about the disability community.
The ideal candidate will love talking with our audiences frequently, and be always trying new designs and workflows to improve outcomes. They will match our restlessness to bring positive change to 70 million Americans with disabilities as soon as possible. Core Responsibilities
Plan, prototype, and implement new designs
Optimize existing user interface designs
Test new designs for intuitive,, experience, and accessibility
Identify target user groups and carry out interviews or other types of inquiry to help understand user needs
Provide guidance on the implementation of UX research techniques and testing activities to assess user behavior
Understand product specifications and user psychology and predict what might work for both
Develop technical and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centered solutions
Work with Daivergent Founders to align product goals with business priorities and KPIs
Combine creativity with an awareness of the design elements
Conduct ongoing user research on new and existing products
Candidate Requirements:
Demonstrated experience (3 years) with UX/UI design and working on agile teams with other designers, product managers, and engineers at a fast-growing startup or agency.
Experience Proficiency in creating high-fidelity visual design mock-ups, prototypes, and design systems with accessibility targets
Proficiency in producing low-fidelity wireframes, user flow maps, site maps, and customer journey maps command of industry tools for wireframing and prototyping such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, Zeplin, Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop, Xd), or others
Experience working on agile teams with other designers, product managers, and engineers.
Ability to both operate at a strategic level and dive deep into the technical details and complexity.
You can readily communicate technical and complex topics to non-technical audiences
Curiosity to work at the intersection of social impact, technology, and education.
Ownership mindset: if there is a problem to be solved you take it on, make a business case for needed resources, and implement it.
