Tioga Plumbing & Electric is seeking an experienced New-Construction Plumber to join our team.

This position will carry out regular maintenance of plumbing systems at commercial and residential sites. He/she will work carefully to follow all current regulations for plumbing work to ensure that all installed systems pass inspections.

The ideal candidate has experience working in an environment that can be cold and hot during different seasons. Able to work 40 plus hours a week, SOME weekends are required. We start at 6:30 am

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform installation of plumbing systems at new properties (appliances, bathtubs, shower valves, faucets and fixtures)
• Installation of PRV's
• Inspect previously installed plumbing systems at commercial and residential sites
• Perform any necessary repairs to previously installed systems
• Answer calls for plumbing issues from general contractors
• Keep up to date with current safety regulations and requirements for the various plumbing systems a company installs and maintains
• Communicate well with clients to ensure client satisfaction
• Communicate well with team members and fellow employees
• Manage a work log
• Keep detailed reports of work done at various job sites
• Provide information regarding plumbing system upkeep to clients

Requirements:

• Must hold a minimum of a Tradesman License. 
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to complete projects phase in a timely manner
• Good working knowledge of water, gas, and sewer systems and the ability to solder copper water lines 
• Previous experience in plumbing, maintenance, or other related field
• Know how to test plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems. Good listening and communication skills. 
• Must be able to bend, stand, reach, pull, lift and carry items in the warehouse
• Ability to handle physical workload and seasonal temperatures
• Have own hand tools and equipment for all phases, including cordless power tools. (heavy tools/equipment provided)
