TINY TREASURES PRESCHOOL is Hiring a 3 to 4-year-old ECE Co-Teacher; Part-Time/Full-Time Near Monrovia, CA

Job Summary:

We are looking for a vibrant, well-organized, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Co-teacher in our 3 to 4-year-old classroom. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, be able to collaborate well with staff, be skilled at multitasking in a classroom or similar setting, build meaningful relationships, and communicate effectively with parents and family. The Co-teacher position also comes with career development opportunities. Applicants must be available to work between the hours of 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist co-teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Engage actively in classroom activities, including circle time, storytime, arts and projects, outdoor play, educational games, and weekly Chapel.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times, indoors and outdoors.
  • Provide individualized attention and support to students as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with the director, co-teacher, parents, and other staff members to support each child's overall development and well-being.

Work Location: This role is expected to work onsite in Monrovia, CA.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 12 ECE units.
  • Six (6) months of experience working with younger children as a preschool teacher, childcare provider, nanny, or volunteer in a childcare setting.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Condition of Employment:

  • Must have MMR and Tdap vaccinations and a TB test.
  • Must be able to pass a national criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid or CPR Certification.
  • Experience working in a preschool or early childhood education setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of child development principles and milestones, including physical, cognitive, social, and emotional domains.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Skill in maintaining a well-organized and stimulating classroom environment for students.
  • Capacity to develop engaging and creative lesson plans, adapt to unexpected changes, and accommodate individual needs.
  • Awareness and respect for diversity within the classroom and community to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.
  • Ability to observe children’s behavior and learning progress and use assessment tools effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, first aid procedures, and health & hygiene practices to ensure the well-being of children.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting hourly range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $16.50 - $17.00.

The above salary range represents the good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.
