NOW HIRING: Youth Program Instructor for Early Childhood programs (part-time)

JOB SUMMARY: The Youth Class Program Instructor is responsible for the planning, safety and supervision of the assigned instructional program classroom and participants. Instructional programs include but are not limited to: Arts and Crafts, Cooking, Sports, and Parent/Tot Classes. Class times will vary Mondays to Saturdays, both daytime and night. Flexibility required.

LOCATION: Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center, 8125 W. 171st St, Tinley Park

QUALIFICATIONS: This candidate will be a fun, creative individual that works extremely well with children ages 2 to 7 years. Applicants should have experience working with children and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the participants, co-workers, parents and guardians. High School diploma required, with at least three years’ experience working with children. Current CPR/First Aid certification is required. Three years of experience in preschool education or related field is preferred.

INCENTIVES: This is a part-time position. Scheduled hours will vary, depending upon current registration numbers, and are not to exceed 15 hours per week. Pay rate begins at $15.50 per hour.

The Park District maintains over 40 parks, 33 ball fields, and several facilities which include the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center, White Water Canyon Water Park, Canine Campus Dog Park, Tinley Junction Miniature Golf & Batting Cages, Vogt Visual Arts Center, and the Tinley Park Performing Arts Center.
