The Tinley Park Performing Arts Center, a facility of the Tinley Park-Park District, is currently looking for a contractual relationship with an independent instructor or organization who has improv experience and/or comedy training to work with our adult theatre and comedy improv programs. 

The Tinley Park-Park District is an award-winning public agency that provides its 55,000 residents with a wide variety of recreation facilities, programs, events, parks, and open spaces. The Park District maintains over 40 parks, 33 ball fields, and several facilities, which include the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center, Tinley Fitness, White Water Canyon Water Park, Canine Campus Dog Park, Tinley Junction Miniature Golf & Batting Cages, Vogt Visual Arts Center, and the Tinley Park Performing Arts Center. It is our commitment to create recreational programming opportunities and provide outstanding customer service while maintaining quality recreational facilities and parks.

Contractual Instructors for the Tinley Park-Park District benefit by being affiliated with a long-standing respected organization with a rich history and a positive reputation in the community and Tinley Park area. The Tinley Park-Park District, as the agency, will be responsible for and have complete control over the registration of the participants. Program and class advertising will be created and marketed by the Park District.

The relationship established shall not be construed as creating an employee/employer relationship or joint employment relationship between parties. Payments made to the contractual instructor will follow the check request process and will be reported to state and federal income tax via form 1099, with no taxes withheld.
