Job DescriptionTimmons Group is currently seeking a Senior Wildfire Business Analyst to work with our clients and our Solutions team on projects within the Wildfire and Forestry markets. Timmons Group is a leading provider of wildland fire and forestry technology solutions including technology RoadMaps, custom web and mobile applications, ESRI and GIS integration, data analytics, and repeatable solutions including our Wildfire Risk Assessment Portal and Community Assessment Tool. Timmons Group has a large client basis within the wildland fire market consisting of federal, state, local and NGO clients.We are seeking an individual who can bring forth their subject matter expertise and experience within the wildland fire and forestry market to support our clients with the implementation of technology solutions through the entire software development life cycle from discovery and analysis through implementation and handoff to support.The Senior Business Analyst works with our clients to understand their business activities, workflows, and needs on multiple levels (from a technical, functional, practical, and end-user perspective). The Business Analyst must be a highly engaging individual who will work with clients and internal team members to develop and manage scope and deliver solutions meeting end user/client expectations through an iterative methodology. The Senior Business Analyst works closely with the Project Manager to ensure scope stays aligned with the schedule and budget.This position will have a strong focus on custom application development and data insights requirements for the wildfire/forestry market. Experience in this market area is required.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Works with key project consumers or stakeholders to formulate and communicate the vision and goals for the project.Analyzes an organization and document its business or processes or systems and its integration with technology.Delivers quality presentations that inform our clients (current and potential) and their stakeholders on our solutions, project status, solution design, etc.Documents and maintains user stories and acceptance criteria, continuously refining based on client needs.Collaborates with the Project Manager, development team, and clients to manage scope.Collaborates with UX/UI Designer to create/maintain wireframes/mockups.Ensures that the solution is functioning well as it is designed for, in addition to ensuring the solution delivered satisfies the user requirements.Assesses existing systems and conducts gap analysis to proposes enhancements or maintenance items necessary to enhance the value.Develops informative, coherent and usable documents for clients and project teams.Serve as Business Analyst and Project Manager on small to medium budget/scope discoveries and projects, as needed.Provide mentoring/coaching and share industry (wildfire/forestry) knowledge with Business Analyst team.Assist with winning recurring work through existing and/or new clients.Assist with operational/strategic initiatives.Assists with proposals and RFP responses.Skills/Requirements include but not limited to:Bachelor's degree required5 years' experience in Wildfire/Forestry industry required3 years' experience in Agile Software Delivery preferredProfessional services experience strongly desiredCreative, open minded, and organizedAble to serve as a Proxy Product Owner for our clientsAble to provide direct, constructive feedback to both teams and individualsAble to multi-task and prioritize workload efficientlyAble to delegate tasks and provide direction as neededAdditional InformationThe requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
