Timeless Millworks is Hiring a Shop Hand Near Grand Junction, CO

Timeless Millworks combines traditional woodworking skills with advanced machinery and technology to produce high end custom cabinetry. We take great pride in producing quality products and creating a team oriented working environment.
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Shop Assistant. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our shop. We are seeking an individual with a positive attitude, substantial experience in woodworking, and a strong foundation in woodworking skills. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about joining a team and contributing to the growth of our company and the creation of our exceptional products. For candidates residing out of state or out of town we are willing to assist with relocation. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Possibility of sign-on bonus, depending on experience. We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented individual, with good organizational skills. Some experience with computers is preferred but not mandatory. Training will be provided on all equipment, but your own knowledge of tools and large scale industrial machines will help you excel in the hiring process. There is room to grow at Timeless, but each individual must be willing to put in the work. We are also looking to hire a long-term position. No temporary positions available.

As a wood/millworker your daily tasks' could include but are not limited to: safely operating a forklift to unload deliveries and move material around the shop, processing timber into usable material, set up and operate - drill presses, shapers, routers, molder, sanders, planers, table saws, timesaver, wire-brush machine, common hand tools etc... Put together cabinetry items and some furniture using glue, clamps, dominos, etc.. and the tools and machines listed above. Staying safe and using any shop equipment in a courteous and safe manner is a must, always help others when asked for help and keep your area clean and tidy. Maintenance on machines is also apart of your responsibility. Keeping them clean and lubed, sharp and working correctly.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of products
- Operate forklift to move materials and products within the shop
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving and stocking materials
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times

Experience:
- Previous experience in a millwork environment is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is required
- Mechanical knowledge is highly desirable
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints is a plus

Skills:
- Proficient in operating a forklift
- Strong knowledge of various hand tools and power tools
- Ability to fabricate and assemble products according to specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
