GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Sales Coordinator will furnish quotations and administer various reports for the Sales Department. This position requires a well-experienced person in many different areas. Most often, this is the first person that customers make contact with regarding product, pricing, and company policy. The person must be able to make decisions based on the parameters of the job and be able to refer the decisions to appropriate persons or departments within the company.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take incoming calls/faxes from Distributor personnel and furnish answers to them relative to pricing, availability, specifications or refer them to proper person or department for information.
  • Do quotations for Telecommunications Accounts.
  • Maintain spreadsheets for each customer’s account and send out weekly updates.
  • Review and compare orders to quotations and work with production coordinator and mounting department to assure quality of mounting and compliance with specifications.
  • Review lift orders for correct options.
  • Process units to be mounted.
  • Process ERCN’s requiring change orders.
  • Answer questions regarding production dates from customers.
  • Prepares orders for invoicing.
  • Analyze, write, and update sales specifications on units as necessary.
  • Attend occasional trade show as required.
  • Performs other duties as defined by the supervisor.
  • Other related duties as required.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Product knowledge (both Time's and competitors) or where to get answers.
  • Good telephone, verbal, and writing skills. Able to communicate well.
  • Typing and/or word processing skills.
  • Ability to visualize finished product i.e. mounted units.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Field or production experience, management experience.


OJT AND CERTIFICATION:

Sales Administration on-the-job training must be completed within 120 days in this position.
