Open until filled Sandown North is seeking an energetic, dynamic, creative, passionate, and highly engaging art teacher to join our staff. Responsible for teaching art education to students in all elementary school grades and assists the staff of the school in the improvement and appreciation of art through a variety of mediums. The ideal candidate helps students grow in their enjoyment, appreciation, and performance of art through a variety of planned art experiences. This teacher will build a classroom culture in which students love art, engages students in the creative process, and cultivates their talents, while deepening their knowledge and understanding of all areas of art. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of established district curriculum goals, establishes and communicates clear objectives to the students for all lessons, units, and projects. Uses a variety of instruction strategies, such as inquiry, group discussion, lecture, discovery, etc. Must have strong classroom management and communication skills, and will work collaboratively with all staff to bring art into a variety of areas of our students’ days.
Full Time School Year Position
NH Certification or SOE in Visual Art Required
Salary and benefits per Timberlane Teachers Association agreement (attached)
