Tired of paying for rent and food? Looking for two roommates/caregivers (or if you prefer to be the one and only caregiver/roommate, we can talk about that), to work a few hours a day in exchange for room, food, utilities, internet (plus a monthly stipend of no less than $500 or $1000 for single caregiver if they want to work both positions). The shifts could be 3 ½ days each or the shifts may be negotiable. No caregiving experience necessary. No pets preferred. I’m a 61-year-old working professional male that uses a manual wheelchair. Share a beautiful three-bedroom home in a great quiet neighborhood. I provide a furnished bedroom for each roommate/caregiver (which includes bed, linens, TV and dresser).

My needs are as follows. Alternating mornings (*Long days: I spend 2 hours by myself in the bathroom):

• M-F Long days* wake at 5:00 AM
• M-F Short days wake at 5:45 AM
• Sat & Sun Long days* wake at 6:00 AM (sometimes a bit later)
• Sat & Sun Short days wake at 7:00 AM (sometime a bit later)
• If I'm working from home, I need help every two or so hours to roll over for pressure relief

Need assistance with:

• Sitting up/lying down in bed
• Transferring into and out of my wheelchair and/or commode chair (I am only 150 lbs.)
• Transferring into and out of shower every day
• Transferring into and out of bed every day
• Showering/washing/drying
• Flushing catheter tube with saline and blood pressure checks
• Getting dressed/undressed each day
• Working out with my home “gym” morning and late afternoon each day

Responsibilities:

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days per week (dinner between 5- 5:30 PM)
• Laundry every other day (dry, fold, and put away)
• Housekeeping every day
• Grocery shopping and various errands around town
• Lots of chores around the house inside and out
