Front Office Job Description : Serves patients by greeting/helping them; scheduling appointments; maintaining records and accounts. Serves providers by maintaining patient flow/front office operational flow. This will be accomplished using effective communication with front/back office staff as well as courtesy to patients at all times.
Medical Office Receptionist Job Duties :
Collecting complete information on patients from initial phone call to discharge. Verifying benefits. In/out of network benefits for BCBS. Scanning all relevant information in to patient charts in a timely manner. Maintaining patient charts by: updating prescriptions in need of renewal/authorizations, informing patients of outstanding balances, collecting daily co-payment/co-insurances/deductibles. Maintaining balance/co-payment log daily. Reviewing schedule and contacting patients to confirm appointments.
