Tim Soder Physical Therapy is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Henderson, NV

Front Office Job Description : Serves patients by greeting/helping them; scheduling appointments; maintaining records and accounts. Serves providers by maintaining patient flow/front office operational flow. This will be accomplished using effective communication with front/back office staff as well as courtesy to patients at all times.
Medical Office Receptionist Job Duties :

  • Welcome patients and visitors by greeting patients/visitors, in person or on the telephone, utilizing professional office etiquette; answering or referring inquiries.
  • Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person/ by telephone.
  • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying providers/back office of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays.
  • Anticipate patient needs; answer patient questions; maintain the reception area.
  • Ensures availability of treatment by: filing and retrieving patient records, obtaining complete patient information/registration, obtaining benefits, collecting co payments/deductibles, up to date prescriptions, and obtaining authorizations.
  • Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. Logging all prescriptions and logging copayment/co-insurance in financial log.
  • Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients; filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.
  • Ensures distribution of incoming faxes to appropriate departments.
  • Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies with appropriate staff; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Collecting complete information on patients from initial phone call to discharge. Verifying benefits. In/out of network benefits for BCBS. Scanning all relevant information in to patient charts in a timely manner. Maintaining patient charts by: updating prescriptions in need of renewal/authorizations, informing patients of outstanding balances, collecting daily co-payment/co-insurances/deductibles. Maintaining balance/co-payment log daily. Reviewing schedule and contacting patients to confirm appointments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
