Team Intro
The USDS Security - Risk & Compliance team is responsible for managing USDS security compliance in accordance with US compliance requirements and objectives, and providing industry leading governance, risk, and compliance services.
The core service offerings include: Compliance & Security Risk Management, Controls & Compliance Framework, Security Compliance Policies, Charters, & Protocols, Vendor Program & Third-Party Risk Management, Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) Platform, and Security & Compliance Behavior & Culture.
In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.
TikTok is seeking a Training and Awareness Facilitator to be part of the USDS Security Risk and Compliance team. The role will have a significant impact on advancing the security and compliance behavior and culture of USDS.
The Training and Awareness Facilitator will play a vital role in the development and facilitation of training and awareness content, identifying program gaps and driving maturity. The Facilitator will design and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and materials to enhance USDS's overall security and compliance posture, and promote a culture of security and compliance awareness.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Understanding complex compliance requirements and being able to translate them to a variety of different audiences
• Championing security and compliance best practices through engaging training materials to promote awareness of risk and compliance-related initiatives and USDS objectives and requirements
• Helping to establish and collect metrics to assess the efficacy of the Training & Awareness Program, and leveraging metrics to iterate on collateral
• Working closely with cross-functional security teams to identify and incorporate emerging threats into training programs
• Collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of security compliance content
• Developing and maintaining training materials including presentations, manuals, videos, and online courses
• Creating communication plans to promote security compliance awareness initiatives and events and regularly communicating security updates, best practices, and relevant information to employees through various channels
• Designing surveys and collecting feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve training content and delivery methods
• Collaborating with HR, legal, and other cross-functional departments to ensure a holistic approach to security awareness and that the training and awareness content and initiatives align to USDS requirements, objectives and industry standard

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of general work experience
• 2 years of experience facilitating trainings

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, writing or marketing (with a focus on or experience in technology or security strongly preferred)
• Familiarity with e-learning platforms and instructional design principles
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and industry standards and familiarity with IT security concepts, practices and tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to work cross-functionally across multiple IT operational and security disciplines
• Team player and motivated self-starter who is resourceful and possesses a high degree of integrity and trustworthiness
• Works well under pressure, within time and budget constraints, to solve problems and meet objectives
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to lead and inspire change
• Ability to tailor content, present to various audiences and adapt to different learning styles
• Executive level training and awareness experience

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $118800 - $196000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
