TikTok is looking for a tenured leader to design processes, workflows, drive downstream insights and mentor and develop a best in class team. As the Associate Director of the US Risk Response team, you will manage a team of 12 escalations specialist and managers ensuring that we are responding timely and considering the broader picture of how we respond to incidents. the ability to communicate to executive leadership efficiently and effectively under pressure. You'll provide day-to-day leadership and priority setting for the team, review and improve processes, and oversee sensitive escalations covering a wide range of issues.
What will I be doing?

• You will be providing leadership and day-to-day management of our Risk Response Team, mentoring and developing talent, holding the team accountable to metrics and identifying areas for process and performance development and optimizations.
• You will coordinate with cross-functional teams including Public Policy, Legal, Product, and Engineering among others to drive incident resolution and propose solutions that drive efficiency.
• You will analyze incident trends, systems, and data to develop improvements to the overall escalation processes and provide recommendations for process, policy, and product improvements.

• You should have 5 years of incident or crisis management experience in Trust and Safety or a similar field.
• Leadership experience with a strategic mindset, agility in responding, and strong judgment. You have extensive team management experience with both senior contributors and managers.
• You have the experience in working effectively under high pressure, strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with different teams, including executive leadership.
• You are able to digest insights and shape the strategic development of the Risk & Response organization including objective setting, identifying and closing process gaps and managing key stakeholder relationships around the globe.
• You have respect for other cultures and deep empathy for users. You are eager to shape a new space within a rapidly growing and changing tech company.
• You have a keen interest and acute knowledge in social media challenges, sensitivity to safety or regulatory issues, and experience with crisis management.
