We are looking for a Custodian to serve as the contact to ensure day to day utility work is met. Custodian responsibilities include sweeping and/or mopping all areas, fixing minor issues (like changing light bulbs) and cleaning building areas, including entrances. To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage various tasks on a daily basis to ensure great guest service and that our operations run smoothly. Keep in mind that our Custodian position requires working in shifts, on weekends and evenings. Ultimately, you will ensure our building is safe, clean and inviting.
• Previous work experience as a Porter, Janitor or Custodian
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Requires ability to tolerate significant changes in temperature, and frequent immersion of hands in water and cleaning or sanitizing solutions
• Good physical condition (e.g. to move heavy equipment)
• Serve as a Brand Ambassador and create brand loyalty to potential vendors and guests
• Basic mechanical skills
• Availability to work in shifts and flexible schedules (e.g. weekends)
• Work with a ‘One Team’ mentality
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
Responsibilities include:
• Sweep and remove garbage and debris from parking lot
• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
• Ensure building entrance is free of clutter
• Sweep and mop all areas outside on patio/bar
• Detail dumpster area grounds
• Clean all floors in kitchen
• Fix minor technical issues, like changing bulbs
• Report damages to General Manager/Manager
• Report low stock of cleaning supplies
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Pull out all equipment in kitchen and bar to sweep, mop and detail behind the bar
• Clean and detail all drains in kitchen and bars
