Tight Line Composites was founded in Hazelwood, MO in 2018 as a specialty composites manufacturing company with the single focus of manufacturing carbon fiber reinforced plastic profiles for the wind energy industry. What We Are Looking For

Motivated, hard-working, and dedicated individual to join our team as Quality Assurance Technician in our production facility located in Hazelwood, MO.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and comply with all safety, work, and employment policies and procedures
  • Audit production process to ensure systems are being followed, QA items are in tolerance and capable
  • Inspect quality during the product run – record physical measurements, visual inspections and machine parameters.
  • Preparing specimens for mechanical testing
  • Package, label, and document information on finished products

Requirements

  • Ability to follow and comply with all safety, work, and employment policies and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
  • Must be able to wear all required personal protective gear
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time; up to 12 hours
  • Must be able to work overtime as required
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds overhead
  • Must be able to lift, turn, bend, reach, pull, and walk
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to read prints and use gauges
  • Understands ISO and ISO concepts
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic math skills, plus understanding of SPC
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Preferences

  • QA Experience of 1 year or more in a manufacturing or factory environment
  • Experience in the chemicals/plastics industry is a plus

Work Environment

  • New production facility
  • Long sleeves, pants, additional mandatory PPE when working with resin and solvents
  • Handling of carbon fiber may cause moderate to severe itchiness
  • Some occasional tasks may require the use of a respirator – in these instances, no facial hair will be allowed

Additional Information

  • Benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; incentive bonuses.
  • Work Schedule: We run 24/7 across 4 rotating (not swing) shifts. This position is for the Night Shift 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. All shifts include a 30 minute paid lunch.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
