Description
The temporary seasonal Warehouse Associate will be responsible for receiving deliveries, coordinating returns, organizing, and conducting inventory management of the Charlottesville and/or Staunton Warehouses as well as construction vehicle inventory. This position is an hourly role that requires working in an office and warehouse inside and outside in extreme environments exposed to delivery vehicles and forklifts, working on docks, and prolonged periods of repetitious duties including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
Tiger Solar has part time openings for two individuals working 20 hours per week in Charlottesville or Staunton. An Exceptional candidate will have a valid drivers license and be open to working 40 hours per week, splitting time between both locations.
Work may begin as soon as possible and run until approximately mid to late July, depending on work availability.
· Work in support of, and alongside, the Procurement Manager and Procurement Specialist daily receiving electrical, BOS, construction, and job specific equipment.
· Coordinate with Construction Managers, Service Manager, and Commercial Director on job specific needs.
· Receive deliveries, confirm material accuracy, notate, and report shortage and damages.
· coordinate with procurement to initiate returns, damage claims, and branch material transfers.
· Ensure trash, recycling, and scrap metals are disposed of in timely manner.
· Work with vendors and procurement on Vendor Managed Inventory to ensure appropriate stock levels at each branch.
· Occasionally serve as liaison between installation/service teams and procurement to procure any specialty items.
· Maintain warehouse best practices and protocols to achieve a safe, clean, and efficient warehouse that can be replicated across multiple branches.
· Perform inventory management by tracking, maintaining appropriate stock levels, assist with companywide inventory counts, and communicate material needs to procurement.
· Participate in all safety discussions; identify safety hazards employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate and/or mitigate hazards.
· Follow established safety rules and regulations, use all required PPE, and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
