TITLE: Front Load Driver

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Front Load Supervisor

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

The Front Load Driver, under direction of the Front Load Supervisor, distributes, collects, and empties company issued commercial waste receptacles for Tiger Sanitation customers. Will report to both the Tiger East and Tiger West locations.

Front Load Drivers who are hired from March 25, 2024, through September 16, 2024, who meet the qualifications listed below, will be eligible for a $3,000.00 sign on bonus

Front Load Driver Qualifications:

• Must have 2 years of verified experience as a Front Load Driver
• Must not receive any disciplinary action during the bonus pay out period

Payout Schedule:

The below bonus payments will be made the pay date following the completion of

60 days $500.00

120 days $1000.00

180 days $1500.00

Essential Functions:

· Performs and documents pre-trip and post-trip inspections of company issued vehicles

· Empties commercial waste receptacles as indicated on daily route sheet

· Utilize tablet as designed for route data entry

· Tag accounts as instructed and attached photos as required

· Opens and closes door on receptacles placed inside an enclosure

· Actively communicates any and all changes to daily route sheet to the dispatch team

· Notifies supervisor of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage that may occur while completing activities on route

· Reviews and completes daily work orders

· Ensures accurate completion of route sheet and VCR by the end of each day

· Ability to proficiently navigate, in forward and reverse motion, driveways, alleyways, empty lots, high traffic roadways with potential limited overhead and compact areas.

· Ability to operate vehicles in accordance with OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws

· Five years of frontload experience preferred

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

· Ability to safely operate a DOT vehicle

· Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance

· Ability to maneuver a container, placed on canisters, for service access

· Ability to proficiently operate a DOT vehicle in a reverse motion

· Ability to convey Tiger Sanitation as the obvious choice for our customers, employees and community

Education and Experience

· Possess a valid Class A or B Driver’s License

· Must have 1 year of residential front load driving experience

Working Conditions

This position will be based in an outdoor environment, exposed to the elements, with extended periods of standing, sitting, squatting, climbing, reaching, and lifting.
