Production Supervisor

Position Type: Full Time (40 hours/week)

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30AM – 4PM

Location: 3000 Gannett Ave, Des Moines, IA

ExodusDirect in Des Moines is looking for the ideal candidate for a Production Supervisor. As a supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing and driving production of products to meet your dedicated client requirements, quality standards, and to maximize productivity in your department. Responsibilities also include staffing, material requirements, documentation, safety, following company procedures, and training. We are looking for a reliable, strong team player that can be flexible with changing work direction as priorities shift, as well as an effective leader to engage, motivate, and lead a team of employees.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the production employees by example in the areas of attitude, work quality, work ethic, dependability, and company loyalty
• Ensure correct materials are present, organize assignments for employees, assist employees with work process problems, and schedule employees
• Maintain 5S in the department
• Train production employees in production processes, determining and assessing level of skill in order to accommodate the fluctuations in production demands
• Follow work instructions and request documentation changes as required
• Monitor the completion of necessary production and quality control documentation
• Resolve minor employee conflicts or policy infractions, refer major issues to manager
• Ensure production team follows all policies related to quality, human resources, safety, and general rules and guidelines.
• Communicate and work together with other departments as required
• Responsible for meeting daily production goals
• Act as a representative of management in meetings and communication with clients.
• Maintain effective and strong communication with clients
• Complete production plan by scheduling, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, meeting deadlines and reporting results.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience or equivalent
• Manufacturing or Production experience is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Ability to communicate with strong oral and written communication skills
• Understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Bilingual skills are a plus (Spanish and English preferred)
• Excellent customer focus
• Ability to direct and train employees
• Experience prioritizing work direction
• Strict attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Competent with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote)
• Proven experience improving processes and identification of efficiencies in process
• Must be able to pass a background check
