The Assistant Teacher assists the Lead Teacher in all aspects of the classroom daily schedule and activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred Education : 2 year Associate Degree in Early Childhood
Minimum Education:High School Diploma/GED and 18 years of age
Preferred Experience: 2 years experience in a pre-school setting or its equivalent
Minimum Experience: 1 year in a pre-school settingor its equivalent
Preferred Personal: Certified in CPR, Child Abuse. First Aide, Communicable Disease:
Ability to relate well with parents as well as children
Minimum Personal: Willing to attend required trainings
DUTIES:
To assist the Lead Teacher in implementing the program for the class.
To assist the Teacher to individualize the program to meet the needs of each child with concerns for his/her interest, disabilities, special talents, and style and pace of learning.
To assist with the arrangement, appearance, décor and learning environment of the classroom.
To participate in recommended training programs, conferences, workshops, and other aspects of professional growth.
Assist in public relations events sponsored by the center.
Attend all staff meetings.
