Tiello has partnered with a highly successful Electrical Contractor in the Ft. Lauderdale area on their search for a Field Operations Manager / General Superintendent to work in service and special projects.

The Field Operations Manager will oversee all field labor throughout the state of Florida. This includes hiring, training, and HEAVY scheduling/dispatching both daily and long term jobs regardless of duration. This includes all labor in the field including Service Techs, Foreman, Electricians, Apprentices, and Temp Labor. They will help to create and oversee the implementation of best practices with the goal of increasing efficiency and operational effectiveness. They will have a direct interaction between both the field personnel and office personnel/management and promote harmony and efficiency necessary to be effective for each individual job. This is a full-time position based out of the Fort Lauderdale office.

Title: Field Operations Manager / General Superintendent (5-7 years exp)

Project Types: Commercial & Industrial - serving the state of Florida

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all aspects of a construction project from planning to final inspection and warranty
• Must have strong electrical experience with extensive knowledge of both NEC and OSHA to problem-solve and support your team. (masters or journeyman’s license preferred)
• Prepare material requisitions
• Attend job site meetings
• Prepare manpower schedules
• Allocate resources (tools and equipment) for assigned projects
• Supervise on-site personnel, peace-workers, and subcontractors
• Interface with project managers, inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and client
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
• Some in-state travel may be required

KEY QUALIFICAATIONS:

• Previous experience as a superintendent on large commercial or multi-family projects
• Familiarity with computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Familiarity with Autocad (a plus but not required)
• Strong leadership qualities
• Strong negotiation skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Skilled abilities in computer use and new industry software (Microsoft, Spectrum, Top Builder, Service Tech, Smart Sheets, Procore, Accubid, and Bluebeam).
