Position Summary:
The OP Rehabilitation Patient Services Assistant/Rehab Technician will perform administrative duties as it relates to clinical needs of patient care and the clinical staff. Daily, performs a variety of tasks related to patient needs and any relevant paperwork required to be completed in a timely manner. The PSA is responsible for pre-registering patients, managing referrals, scheduling appointments, and completing paperwork related to medical record requests, and scanning into the appropriate systems. Meet with patient or contact patient to confirm appointments and assist with paperwork as needed. Coordinate/communicate with clinical staff to inform the provider of any authorization, limits, or infection control issues as appropriate. Provides support in patient care and in carrying out therapeutic activities as directed by the therapist in a team environment consistent with professional practices and ethical standards. Provides cleaning and preparation of treatment areas and equipment as established by the department. Will have home facility assignment but remains ready to float emergency situations to other TH locations. The employee will complete other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert 35 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 15 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
