Position Summary: The Manager, Cardiovascular Services directs and coordinates activities of the Cardiac Cath Lab department and associated support roles within these areas. She/he will utilize evidence-based leadership competencies and strategies to ensure the highest quality outcomes, operational efficiency, and a healthy work environment for employee partners, reporting to the Cardiology Serviceline Director. The Manager’s responsibilities include ongoing maintenance of quality monitoring improvement programs and patient satisfaction and staff engagement as well as possess knowledge of organizational policies and procedures and common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. The Manager monitors fiscal performance by ensuring accurate charge capture and reconciliation, supply inventory and management minimizing expirations and duplications, monitoring staffing and productivity, optimizing schedules, and maintaining operations within fiscal resource plan targets. The Manager evaluates employee work performance providing employee counseling in cooperation with Cardiology Serviceline Director and Human Resources. The Manager communicates and collaborates with Serviceline Director and other departments for problem identification and resolution. She/he will co-lead the department and staff meetings monthly, participate in system and department level committees that advance the delivery of cardiac care, policy and procedure review and development, and other teams/committees as assigned. In general, the Manager works with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers as well as members of Health system leadership to ensure the efficient, safe operation of the Cardiac Cath Lab, as well as completes other leadership duties as assigned. The Manager will analyze solutions, apply critical thinking, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and assist with team development in areas of continuous quality improvement and team performance.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert 20 to 35 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Working conditions include possible exposure to radiation hazards, electrical hazards, infectious and contagious diseases, and blood and body fluids pathogens. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, lifting and walking.
