Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership and Team Management

• Manage, coach, and nurture two direct reports: the Copywriter and the Brand Specialist.

2. Content Strategy Development

• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies that align with business objectives and target audience needs.

3. External Copywriting and Special Communications

• Take the lead on external copywriting for marketing materials such as whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, etc., while mentoring the copywriter to develop similar skills.
• Write special communications as required for the CEO and various corporate departments.

4. Copy Editing and Presentation Creation

• Assist divisions with copy editing on print media and materials.
• Create presentations such as company supplier profiles and division presentations "About Us".

5. Research and Market Analysis

• Conduct research to stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.

6. Public Relations Management

• Manage public relations efforts, including authoring and distributing press releases, ensuring media coverage, and responding to media inquiries.

7. Employment Branding

• Contribute to the development and promotion of OSG's employment brand to attract top talent.

8. Internal Communications

• Act as the primary source for the development and distribution of internal communications, including personnel announcements, HR communications, DEI communications, facility announcements, continuous improvement articles, leadership video announcements, and CEO learning nuggets.
• Oversee the design and content development for the OSG Intranet (We-net), ensuring consistency of message and design across all divisions.

9. Net Promoter Survey and Industry Surveys

• Participate in executing and analyzing the results of the Net Promoter Survey.
• Update company information in response to industry surveys.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience in communications, with a focus on both external and internal communications.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for various audiences and channels.
• Experience managing public relations efforts and working with media outlets.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• A writing portfolio is required at the time of application. Candidates that do not submit a writing portfolio will not be considered.

Starting at $95,000 15% annual bonus incentive
