The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting parts to ensure the product is up to customer requirements. They are also responsible for inspecting parts for dimensional characteristics and compliance to specifications. Gather and Scan inspection sheets and other operational paperwork. Have a strong understanding of Thunderbird cylinder quality standards.

Essential Functions:
- Ensuring Thunderbird Cylinders product quality.
- Perform internal testing and cosmetic checks. Perform 1st piece inspections, receiving inspections as required by customer and/or regulatory specifications.
- Complete all lab work and paperwork.
- Must be able to prep cylinders by removing defects using the hand sander and fix incorrect stampings with a hammer.
- Assisting in Internal Audits
- Other duties as assigned
- Basic knowledge of quality control and manufacturing processes
- Strong mathematical skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Computer Skills
- Good communication skills
- Must be able to comprehend and retain internal and regulatory requirements.
- Must be able to handle physical, repetitive work and be able to stand on your feet for 8 hrs a day.
- Must be able to distinguish between part numbers and sizes
- Must understand and follow the quality policy and procedures
- Must be able to us micrometers and calipers
- Must be able to interpret gages and the use of them.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- The employee can be exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 30 lbs
- Frequently required standing, bending, squatting and reaching with both hands and arms
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic
- Required OSHA safety training
- HazMat Training
