The Pet Doctor is looking for a motivated Relief Veterinarianto help us grow and share our dedication to client and pet care. We pride ourselves on high-quality medicine, creating personable client experiences and prioritizing teamwork.
The Pet Doctor is located in Boise, Idaho, and has been proudly serving the community since 2003. Known as the “city of trees”; the Boise area is a rapidly growing mid-sized city with a genuine small-town charm. The best part is it’s a hub of natural beauty with access to an abundance of outdoor activities. You are only minutes away from mountain biking, camping, hiking & kayaking/rafting. And most residents spend their winters skiing at Bogus Basin or enjoying winter sports in the Boise National Forest.

The Essentials:
  • Hospital Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am – 6:00pm
  • 10-hour shift, 20-40 minute appointments dependent on a case-by-case basis
  • Progressive medicine including surgery & dentistry, digital radiology, ultrasound, preventative labs, in-house diagnostics for illness appointments, and more
  • Opportunities and endorsement to grow a career and individual passions
  • Corporate-owned by Thrive (celebrating 4 years!) with individualized hospital feel
Education & Desired Skills
  • DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree required. 
  • Licenses/registrations in compliance with local, state, and national requirements
  • State Veterinary Board License must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to start date.
  • You have the drive and initiative to always learn something new and be open to others sharing their knowledge.
  • Most importantly: Be a team player and cultivate kindness always.
