Job Title: Janitor/Sanitation Team Member

Pay Rate: ($18.00 per hour)

Shift: Part-time 5:00pm to 9:00pm Monday thru Friday

Department: Supply Chain

Reports to: Plant Supervisor

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

•Maintain cleanliness and hygienic standards as set by facility, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

•Responsible for cleaning the machinery, packaging area, and the office spaces.

•Clean and supply designated areas within the facility to include dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, vent cleanliness, restrooms, and more. 

•Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities. Perform heavy cleansing tasks and special projects as needed. 

•Adjust equipment or items and/or complete minor repairs. Stock and maintain supply rooms. Work in a team environment through cooperation with others.

•Follow all health and safety regulations. Notify management of deficiencies or needs for repairs. Perform emergency clean up as needed. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: 

•High school diploma required. This position will be required to perform basic math, reading and writing as well as basic computer skills.

•The ability to perform basic math and demonstrate a basic ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal form. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations:

•The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: Ability to climb stairs and work in tight spaces, frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 20% or more sitting, 70% or more walking, and 70% or more standing. 

•The job is performed under some temperature variations and in a food manufacturing production environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift to 50 lbs. is required.
