Thrive Behavioral Consulting is Hiring a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) or Qualified Autism Service Practitioner - Supervisor (QASP-S) Near Suffolk, VA

Thrive Behavioral Consulting, LLC is looking to grow its team with the addition of talented and compassionate Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBA) and Qualified Autism Service Practitioner - Supervisors (QASP-S). TBC serves TRICARE families who have children with a diagnosis of autism and other exceptionalities. Compensation
: $38 - $45/hour dependent upon experience and training.

Job Responsiblities
:
  • Working directly with clients in their home and community settings, as applicable.
  • Ongoing collection, recording, and management of client data to include updating supervisor on client status to routinely assist in monitoring progress.
  • Assessing client progress and implementing changes to treatment objectives (reinforcement contingencies, teaching procedures, etc.) to ameliorate stalled progress.
  • Conduct assessment procedures, including assessments required by funding sources.
  • Provide behavior-analytic interpretation of assessment results and assist with design of Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) based on results.
  • Implement Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) during direct sessions to facilitate client’s skill acquisition.
  • Implement written behavior reduction plan during direct sessions, if applicable.
  • Use contingencies of reinforcement to provide a positive, fun, and safe learning environment for clients.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI) at all times.
  • BCaBAs and QASP-Ss will receive and actively participate in supervision in accordance with their credentialing board's guidelines.
  • Objective session note completion.
  • Attend and participate in meetings with supervisors to include team meetings, if applicable.
  • Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors in an ongoing manner to identify any potential issues or stalled progress with any client.
  • Regularly communicate with parents/caregivers in a way that facilitates professionalism and trust to include conducting parent/caregiver training sessions.
  • May assist supervisor with designing individualized behavior analytic interventions and methods to include Behavior Reduction Plans, Individualized Treatment Plans, programming, progress notes, behavior protocols, and insurance documents.
  • May teach and train others to carry out ethical and effective behavior interventions, supervise BTs and other staff in accordance with BACB guidelines and case necessity.
Required Qualifications:
  • Candidates who recently sat for the BCaBA or QASP-S exam and who are awaiting certification are encouraged to apply as well as candidates with prior experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Must be at least 18 years or older.
  • Ability to pass Criminal History Background Check (CHBC) to include current Federal, State, and County Criminal and Sex Offender reports for all locations candidate has resided and worked in during the previous 10 years.
  • Valid driver's license, current registration, and insurance and/or reliable transportation.
  • Possess or have ability to obtain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) equivalent certification upon hire.
  • Possess or have ability to obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number upon hire.
  • Possess or have ability to obtain Virginia Licensure (LBA) upon hire.
  • Ability to produce at least one professional reference upon request.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Professional attitude and compassionate approach.
  • Commitment to upholding Professional and Ethical Compliance Codes for Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts and Qualified Autism Service Practitioner-Supervisors and providing quality services.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to client homes (1-3 clients daily) and/or community settings, as applicable.
  • Willingness to abide by TBC company policy and procedures.
  • 1 year experience as a BCaBA or QASP-S preferred.
