EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED FOR CLIMBING WALL INSTRUCTOR:
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS CLIMBING WALL INTSTRUCTOR: Annual Safe Sport Training and Certification; Climbing Wall Instructor (CWI) certified through the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) required; Boom Lift Certified
USA Climbing Route-setter, Level 1 or higher certification is preferred; Ability to acquire and maintain a USA Climbing Coach Certification; Prior experience working as a climbing coach is required; Professional route-setting experience strongly preferred; Proficiency and knowledgeable in top rope, speed, sport lead, (trad & multi-pitch is a plus), and bouldering; Current CPR/AED certification required (or a willingness to acquire such certification prior to teaching at Threshold); Must be 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and 1 chargeable accident in the last three years; Excellent oral/digital communication skills; Professionalism, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills; Knowledge of employment, safety, and merchandise handling procedures.
