Threshold Energy Solutions is now hiring individuals to assist us in completing home energy assessments for a large public utility company in Kentucky. We are seeking qualified individuals who are knowledgeable in energy conservation and building trades to work as Home Energy Auditors. We are currently performing semi-comprehensive energy assessments for income qualified residential homeowners who have requested these services. The assessments are performed for free, and the power company pays for certain home improvements and energy efficiency measures that the assessment deems are needed. The assessment technician will perform a blower door test and safety assessment, along with the energy audit. They will then install qualifying measures for the homeowner such as, replace incandescent lightbulbs with LED lightbulbs, install low flow sink aerators and shower heads, as well as installing programmable thermostats and insulating hotwater pipes and sealing some ductwork.
Job requirements are as follows:
1. Ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
2. A valid driver’s license, and dependable transportation, with the ability to travel
throughout the utility companies service area which consists of a large portion of
Kentucky.
3. Good customer service awareness and the ability to communicate well with the
customers. You must be outgoing and reliable, and customer focused with excellent
people skills.
4. Computer skills are required to complete the assessments on a handheld tablet, as well
as completing paperwork in a timely manner.
5. Be able to climb a ladder to install measures and access attics and crawlspaces.
6. You must be able to pass a background screen and drug test.
7. Prior experience in energy conservation and building trades is a must. Knowledge of
maintenance, weatherization and/or energy efficiency techniques is preferred.
You will be a Threshold employee and are paid on performance. Weekly earnings of $1,450.00
to $1,850.00 should be expected. Paid bi-weekly. Pre-set appointments, and all materials/tools
to perform the job will be provided.
