POSITION SUMMARY
The Echocardiographer is responsible for performing 2D/3D Transthoracic Echocardiograms, Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms, setting up and assisting with Transesophageal Echocardiograms (to include TAVR and Watchman), to the standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography. This individual demonstrates increasing competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population. Employee will recognize the population specific needs of the patients and apply the appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviors to meet those needs when performing patient care activities.

Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Education and Training Experience Required
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be a graduated of an accredited Echocardiography Technology Program or equivalent years of experience

For new graduates: Minimum of six months specialized training in echo cardiology preferred

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:

• Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Registered/registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (CCI). If applicant is registry eligible, then registry must be obtained within one year from hire date.
• Current BCLS
