Qualifications: 

Team player, flexible, able to provide direct instruction utilizing a variety of intervention programs, skilled in small group management, conduct DIBELS assessments, supervise recess, positive behavior trained.

Ability to work with ERC team of assistants

Ability to work well with special needs students

Understanding of age-appropriate behavioral issues

Knowledge and experience with basic computer operations desired

Ability to work one-on-one or in small groups

Ability to discipline with dignity

Ability to take initiative and be self-directed

Ability to stand, walk or sit on floor while working with students in the classroom or while supervising

Ability to physically lift, move or restrain a student on a regular basis

Must qualify or be able to meet standard for highly qualified para-professional

Requirements:

Two (2) years of college coursework or Associate’s Degree (may be waived pending successful performance on skills test administered by the District)
