Job Title: Lead Database Administrator

Duration: 6 months contract

Location: Reston, VA or Remote

Job Description:

• Assist in defining and overseeing database organization, standards, controls, and procedures.
• Develop applications to solve database solutions and provide recommendations for database environments.
• Maintain, implement, and document shell scripts and batch processes.
• Lead technical aspects of project release upgrades and provide mentorship to junior administrators.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain and document shell scripts and batch processes.
• Lead technical aspects of project release upgrades.
• Develop applications to solve database solutions.
• Implement techniques to prevent system problems and troubleshoot incidents.
• Design, implement, and maintain databases.
• Lead, train, and mentor junior administrators.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related IT field.
• 8 years of experience in full data management duties.
• Proficient in SQL performance and tuning.
• Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to train others.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server, and similar databases.
• Knowledge of structured query language (SQL).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server, and similar databases.
• Advanced SQL performance and tuning skills.

Note: Must disclose any ineligibility to work on Federal healthcare programs. Must excel in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
