The Quality Assurance Technician will support the Quality and Food Safety Team at the Topping facility in Kansas City, MO. This full-time position is performed under the 3rd shift: Sunday-Thursday, 10:30pm-7:00am.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, the QA Technician will:
- Perform general walk throughs and maintain quality culture and adherence to all aspects of the QA/FS programs and policies.
- Complete weekly Good Manufacturing Practice.
- Perform compliance reviews (monthly, weekly, daily, & on a shift basis) against operational performance for GMP compliance, Master Sanitation Schedule & Cleaning &, Sanitation (Housekeeping) compliance, 5S/Visual Workplace, Pest Control verification.
- Perform in-line product and packaging checks.
- Complete inbound ingredient checks.
- Ensure daily reviews of production document collection.
- Build and maintain weekly sample collection process.
- Complete Analytical Testing sample collection and shipment to laboratories including environmental monitoring swabs and sending product or ingredient samples.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School or GED equivalent.
- Able to read write, and speak technical English.
- 1 year as a quality, maintenance, or operations technician at a manufacturer utilizing an internationally recognized quality standard.
Preferred:
- 2-5 yrs as a QA in manufacturing under a global quality standard.
- QA college courses.
- Multilingual in Spanish or Burmese.
