Threat Tec is seeking a highly qualified Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection Threat Specialist (AT/FP) to join our team in support of the Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH), Directorate of Operations Program Support (DOPS). The AT/FP Specialist will play a critical role in monitoring the overall Antiterrorism posture to ensure adequate protection for all phases of planning, design, preparation, training, operations, and safety of personnel. Responsibilities * Monitor the overall Anti-terrorism posture to ensure adequate protection for all phases of planning, design, preparation, training, operations, and safety of personnel.
* Develop technological projections of threat organizations and threat systems employment for use in scenarios, models, and training in support of Force Protection.
* Support the interpretation of the meaning and potential impact of collected intelligence and threat data.
* Maintain updated Threat Vulnerability Assessments (TVAs) and force protection mitigation measures for all locations where SOCSOUTH personnel and personnel supporting the SOCSOUTH mission are deployed or deploying to, whether for persistent engagements, episodic engagements, or exercises. Coordinate with deploying units to review TVAs and establish a plan to have TVAs validated or created, where applicable. * Coordinate with the J2-CI (Counterintelligence) and provide data inputs for the threat working group to conduct analysis of threat information and recommend appropriate response measures.
* Adhere to and comply with established Antiterrorism Standards and Regulations.
* Plan, coordinate, support, execute, and/or brief at the GO level on any of the Antiterrorism Standards listed in relevant publications.
* Demonstrate familiarity with Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP), Risk Assessment/Risk Response/Critical Asset Identification Process.
* Travel OCONUS to validate/update Threat Vulnerability Assessments when a level 2 AT/FP qualified individual is not available at forward location. Estimate 2-3 OCONUS trips annually, not to exceed 5 days each trip. Will accompany and/or visit government personnel. * Travel OCONUS to validate/update Threat Vulnerability Assessments when a level 2 AT/FP qualified individual is not available at forward location. Estimate 2-3 OCONUS trips annually, not to exceed 5 days each trip. Will accompany and/or visit government personel Maintain Level II AT/FP certification and complete required courses including * Conventional Physical Security/Crime Prevention Course. * DoD Security Engineering Planning and Standards.
* Blast Resistant Structural Design. * VAPO Vulnerability Assessment Protection Option.
* Entry Control Facilities / Access Control Points (ECF/ACP). Qualifications * 10 years of prior military experience, with experience working in a SOF headquarters required.
* 3 years of experience in operations within the SOUTHCOM AOR.
* Level II AT/FP certification required.
* Graduate of Conventional Physical Security/Crime Prevention Course, DoD Security Engineering Planning and Standards, Blast Resistant Structural Design, VAPO Vulnerability Assessment Protection Option, and Entry Control Facilities / Access Control Points (ECF/ACP) courses.
* Familiarity with Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP), Risk Assessment/Risk Response/Critical Asset Identification Process.
* Possess a current Secret security clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI within 120 days of hire.
