**The Company:**

Our client is a produce distributor out of Chicago that prides themselves on their great service offering and family oriented work culture. They service major clients such as Walmart, Applebees, Chick Fila, and Ruth's Chris in the IL, WI, and IN areas.

They are looking for a Buyer who is excited to make an impact at a smaller, family-run company!

**The Job :**

Procurement

* Planning and placing orders with suppliers

* Connecting with suppliers (farms) to ensure product delivery and pricing

* Connecting with customers (Restaurants and grocery stores) to complete buying process, orders, and delivery needs

Inventory Management

* Generating and updating inventory counts in the ERP system ,

* Valuations

* Spoilage reduction

* Manage 3 full trucks of deliveries per day

Account and Customer Service

* Making sure their supplies and vendors are paid

* Ensuring a high level of customer service is provided to all supplies, customers, and vendors

**Qualifications:**

* 3 years experience in buying/procurement of**Produce**

* Basic knowledge of Accounts Payable

* Basic understanding of transportation/logistics

* Experience getting quotes and placing orders

* Experience with Excel (pivot tables)
