**About the Job:**

The Merchandise Assistant provides day-to-day support to the Buying team and is responsible for weekly reporting, maintaining product details, inventory maintenance, data entry and general merchandising support. This position requires frequent communication with members of the Fashion team (Buying, Planning, and Site Merchandising) as well as additional cross-functional partnerships within RTR

**What Youll Do:**

* Input essential data to create and track inventory

* Responsible for creation and maintenance of purchase orders

* Set up new items and vendors; update style information including any price adjustments as needed

* Track and follow up on open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery

* Generate weekly selling reports

* Provide administrative support to the Buying division as necessary

* Handle other responsibilities and projects as assigned

**About You:**

* Bachelor's degree and 0 year(s) of experience in a retail or fashion related industry role

* Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

* Strong communication skills

* Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills

* Demonstrate initiative and exhibit a sense of urgency

* Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment

* Excellent attention to detail required

* Able to comprehend the basic merchandising process

* Understand the importance of your responsibilities and the impact they have on the overall business

* Contribute to and work well within a team environment
