- Lead the design and delivery of complex, mission-critical systems built & deployed on Amazon Web Services
- Analyze, prototype and evolve strategic Engineering architectural patterns
- Individual Contributor (expected to be hands-on coder 30%-70% of the time)
- Interview and recruit top talent for Engineering’s staffing needs
- Mentor highly talented technical engineers within the organization
Necessary skills and experience:
- 15 years of overall relevant Software Engineering experience
- 10 years Architecting, Designing and Building large-scale, multi-use systems on public cloud hosting providers
- 5 years in an AWS environment
- Extensive knowledge in modern cloud technologies and streaming data processing capabilities (Serverless, Kafka, Containerization, globally distributed database offerings, etc.)
- Expert communication skills (including influencing skills across multiple teams)
Nice to have:
- Ecommerce industry experience
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders across multiple geographies
