```Job Summary```
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Activities Director to join our team. As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities and programs for our residents. Your role will involve creating a positive and stimulating environment that promotes social interaction, physical well-being, and emotional support.
```Responsibilities```
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that meets the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of our residents
- Plan and organize a variety of recreational activities, events, and outings to enhance the quality of life for our residents
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure the smooth execution of activities and programs
- Assess the individual needs and interests of residents to tailor activities to their preferences
- Provide support and assistance to residents during activities, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) if needed
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress in activities
- Collaborate with families, staff, and volunteers to create a supportive community environment
- Stay updated on current trends in senior care activities and incorporate new ideas into the program
```Experience```
- Previous experience in activity planning or related field preferred
- Knowledge of schedule management and event coordination
- Familiarity with social work or recreational therapy principles
- Understanding of senior care needs and challenges
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, staff, and volunteers
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive environment for residents
- Experience working in a nursing home or assisted living facility is a plus
