Job Details

Communication and personality is key. This person will be meeting with multiple teams in each of the three offices here in IL.

This is hybrid onsite. Three days a week onsite. Every Wednesday, the candidate will be at the O'hare Location. Then the other two days they can choose to work out of Arlington Heights, Chicago, or Ohare location.

The Enterprise Endpoint Engineering Profile Engineer provides technical expertise in end user engineering to strengthen the reliability, efficiency, and performance of the enterprise. It is critical that this role be a technical partner to implement established standards and procedures which support the enterprise's managed infrastructure along with ensuring operational stability. This role is responsible for implementing secure, supportable, and customized solutions that maintain the integrity of the existing infrastructure as well as meet the customer objectives. Works effectively in a team to establish synergies with IT peers across the enterprise.

Key duties:

  • Gathering business and technical requirements.
  • Coordinating and leading in the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, and support for scalable complex platforms of various scopes to include enterprise-wide (hardware, operating systems, software, systems tools, and IT processes).
  • Evaluate business requirements and recommend technologies that will enhance availability, reliability, scalability, and security, while consistently driving down total cost of ownership.
  • Consult with other business units (e.g., application development groups, Field Services Technical Support, etc.) to configure platforms for product installation.
  • Design and document enterprise standards and procedures.
  • Ensure platforms/systems conform to established enterprise/industry standards (systems management, security, operating systems, etc.) and reference models.
  • Provide technical support, as needed, to the enterprise.
  • Coordinate activities with internal/external technology owners/service providers.
  • Create detailed documentation for all engineering solutions.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or 5 years of equivalent experience

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Working knowledge of:
    • VMWare Workspace ONE o Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM)
    • Active Directory
    • Group Policy
    • Windows 10& 11
    • Browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox)
  • Communication Skills- The ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, capable of successful formal and informal communication at the appropriate level.
  • Teamwork - Works well in a collaborative setting, acting as a positive team member by contributing to discussions, developing, and maintaining both formal and informal relationships enterprise-wide, defines success in terms of the entire team through mentoring and knowledge transfer.
  • Technical Expertise - Demonstrates a commitment to increasing knowledge and skills in providing engineering and operations direction and support of end user device management in a large enterprise, keeping up to date on technical developments and industry practices.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex technical projects that require innovative solutions. Demonstrated success in delivering results on complex technical challenges including strong investigative and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge/Skills Preferred:

  • Scripting and automation
  • DEX tools analysis and reporting
  • Complex reporting Ability to create dashboards in PowerBi or similar tools.

Experience Required:

  • Five years of progressively responsible work experience specifically in Enterprise Endpoint Engineering.
  • 5 years' experience with integrating multiple complex solutions into one standard enterprise solution.
  • Requirements gathering and project planning

Experience Preferred:

  • O/S migrations
  • Project Management
  • Airline industry experience
