We are a small summer lakeside club open from July 1 to Labor Day. We are a smoke free and cell phone free club. We are a family oriented club.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a responsible and attentive individual to join our team as a Lifeguard. As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests at the lake. This is a paid position that requires life guard certification and the ability to perform duties related to club maintenance and guest services.
Duties:
- Monitor lake areas to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all guests
- Enforce club rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment
- Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents that may occur
- Provide first aid or CPR when necessary
- Assist with clubmaintenance tasks, such as cleaning and equipment setup
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service
- Conduct regular inspections of the clubarea to identify potential hazards or maintenance issues
- Report any incidents, accidents, or maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor
Skills:
- Lifeguard certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to employment
- Strong swimming skills and ability to perform rescues if needed
- Knowledge of first aid techniques and CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with guests
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Attention to detail for monitoring pool areas and identifying potential risks
