Thompson Trio, LLC, a distinguished Jani-King franchise and respected family-owned business, has been setting the benchmark for commercial cleaning services across Louisiana's Northshore since 1999. Our presence is firmly established in communities such as Hammond, Covington, Mandeville, and Madisonville, where our dedication to excellence and reliability has solidified our reputation.
We are actively seeking dedicated individuals to join our part-time cleaning crew in Hammond. This opportunity is perfect for those looking to supplement their primary income with rewarding and meaningful work in the commercial cleaning industry. We have 2 shifts available that need to be filled as soon as possible:
Monday - Friday

  • 15 hours total for week
  • Start time is 8pm
  • 3 hours (min) per night

Saturday - Sunday

  • 8 hours total for weekend
  • Start time is 8pm
  • Flexible schedule

Hiring Requirements
To maintain our high standards and ensure the integrity of our team, we have specific requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Successful clearance of an extensive background check spanning 10 years
  • Possession of a personal vehicle with a valid driver's license
  • Ownership of a working personal cell phone

Onboarding Process
We believe in equipping our team with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel. Our comprehensive onboarding includes at least 20 hours of paid training ($13/hr), covering our company operations, cleaning techniques, and equipment use. This phase is crucial for ensuring all team members are well-prepared and confident in their roles.

Compensation and Advancement
Post-training, team members advance to roles as Cleaner I ($14/hr) or Cleaner II ($15/hr), with opportunities for further growth and higher-paying specialized jobs ranging between $15-$20/hr. We value hard work and dedication, offering these specialized opportunities to team members who have proven their commitment and are in good standing with our organization.

Travel and Uniform Policy
Our model includes compensated travel between accounts at $0.665 per mile. Our uniform policy requires wearing a provided Jani-King shirt (first one free) and maintaining a professional appearance.

Phone Requirements
Given our decentralized operation, team members must use the Janitorial Manager application for clocking in/out, supply requests, and communication. This requirement ensures efficiency and effectiveness in our operations, enabling us to maintain the highest standards of service.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As part of our team, you'll perform a variety of tasks to keep our clients' premises immaculate. The list below outlines the core tasks that most of our accounts require.

  • Utilize the Janitorial Manager application during a shift
  • Trash removal - changing trash can liners, taking trash bags and empty boxes to dumpster
  • Dusting – detailed dusting of desks, light fixtures, baseboards, cobwebs, windowsills
  • Restroom cleaning - cleaning sinks, toilets, replacing paper products
  • Kitchen cleaning - cleaning exterior of appliances, tabletops, countertops, replacing paper products
  • Floor cleaning - mopping floors with string mops, flat mops, or floor machines
  • Carpet cleaning - vacuuming carpet areas and rugs using an upright vacuum or backpack vacuum
  • Equipment - operate upright or backpack vacuums (10-11 lbs), maintain equipment, report damaged equipment
  • Chemicals - learn to dilute chemicals, refill spray bottles, prepare mop buckets

While the core tasks for each account are typically the same, there are additional responsibilities that depend on the building that you will be cleaning.

  • Remember alarm codes and be able to arm/disarm security systems
  • Keep keys to accounts that you have been trained in
  • Be able to work without supervision
  • Keep an upright vacuum or backpack vacuum in your personal vehicle if necessary
  • Keep backup supplies such as a caddy or chemicals in your personal vehicle if necessary
  • Communicate when supplies are running low to either a supervisor or to the client
  • Interact with clients or clean buildings with the client's personnel present
  • Work with other team members for larger building or one-time jobs
